Move over jelly beans, there's a new Jelly in town! Bumkins Blue Jelly Silicone Grip Dish is perfect for little ones learning to self-feed. The divided plate is sized right for baby and toddler portions and it fits and sticks to most highchair trays and tables. The dish is made with 100% food-safe, premium LFGB silicone that’s durable and resists stains and bacteria. Silicone can withstand high to low temperatures (from 400℉ down to -40℉), allowing the dish to go from the oven or microwave into the freezer for a quick cool down.
The Bumkins Jelly Silicone Collection is made from 100% food-safe, LFGB-grade silicone, which is tested to higher standards than regular FDA-grade silicone. Because of this, LFGB-grade silicone inherently uses less additives or fillers, is less likely to impact the smell or taste of food, and has a higher durability compared to FDA-grade silicone, resulting in a more premium product.

There are certain food that may cause stain on silicone (ex: carrots). To help stain, wash immediately after using. Some washing products and foods with a strong odor may leave a residue odor or taste in the silicone grip dish. Additionally, hard water (water with a high mineral content), could leave a thin coating on the dish which could impact the ability of the dish to suction.
We have found a few different simple procedures that have been successful at removing the unwanted odors or tastes and refresh the silicone to stick better.
1. Silicone grip dishes can be safely placed in boiling water to sterilize and to remove strong odors.
2. Submerge the dish in a mixture of hot water and white vinegar using the ratio of 1 cup of vinegar for every two cups of hot water. Soak for 30 minutes and then scrub with a gentle cleaning sponge. White vinegar is used to reduce mineral build-up from hard water and can be used regularly without harming the dish. Rinse and dry thoroughly.
3. Coat the dish with a mixture of white vinegar and baking soda using the ratio of 1 tbsp. of white vinegar to 2 tbsp. of baking soda. Allow the coated dish to sit overnight. Rinse thoroughly to completely remove the baking soda mixture and dry thoroughly.
4. Try using a rinse agent in your dishwasher to reduce mineral build-up.
